  2. I just bought a 944 for my channel and I have to say it's by the most fun I have had for under $5k. Oh and mine broke down before I got home. Lol. And the owner fully restored with under 95k miles on it

  3. I own a 1983 944. The car is solid as long as you do regular maintenance on it. It’s not a great first car for a novice who doesn’t want to work on cars; but it is a great car to learn how to turn wrenches on. I have been in and out of my 944, parts are pretty reasonable to replace. Not reasonable if you have a Porsche mechanic work on it.

  4. Sensible modifications. Did not know you could get aftermarket ECUs for 1980s Porsches. Last 1 I had was a 1987 Porsche 928S4 and before that a 1981 Porsche 928. I always feared the ECU solder points would detach and brick the ECU. At that time you could send them into a Chicago outfit to remanufacture but I never knew of modern solid state replacements. Thanks!

  5. Saying that 44 is more reliable than his 99 forerunner is saying something. My 98 4Runner is an indestructible Warhorse.

  6. always nice to see a young guy learn on the (1st) car he loves. carry on! Highly recommend all young guys do what he did…builds character, learn a trade, forge work ethic while owning a cool car that might get you dates….Thats why things like dad & son car projects are important in a boys life… Lots of guys look back on those times with dad as some of the best days for them…. whats not to love

  7. Life is short to drive ugly cars …even if cost ..that’s his money 💰 so let him be and enjoy mon !!! Irie

  8. I had an 83 944. I previously had a Triumph TR-7 that I worked on myself. The 944 required expensive parts and special tools and was ten times more difficult to work on, so I had to take it to the shop. Nice reliable car that only needed a new improved $1000 balance shaft kit every year.

  9. 2:40 WTF is going on there? a 944 should NOT sound like that.. and he'll be very sorry when a random pebble takes out that unprotected timing belt.

  10. This dude bought a car Scotty tells people to avoid like the plague. Either this dude is rich or dumb as hell 😂

  11. You probably won’t see this but I really want a Porsche 944 I’m only 14 and I am saving up for one. I don’t know much about how to fix cars but I love them and I really want a 944

  12. Last night, I just scored an 83’ 944 for $1500. Car is complete, runs and drives excellent and it was always a california car. I am super excited about this buy. My first car was a 924. The 944 has an awesome body style with the flared fenders etc.
